Climbing at Wolf Mountain
Indoor climbing has never been more popular. Our walls are designed to meet the needs of all, from the beginner to competition climbers. The routes are challenging and regularly reset by professional route setters. What's more the atmosphere is simply fantastic. Climbing in this unique facility is an experience not to be missed. The walls rise up from the now empty swimming pool floor. They are colourful, imposing, thought provoking, and at times demanding, depending on how far you wish to push yourself. With overhangs, slabs, arêtes, roofs, mantle shelves and chimneys there is something for everyone.
How to get climbing at Wolf Mountain
If you are already experienced in the art of indoor climbing you don't need to book just turn up, register with us, hire any equipment you may need, pay your entry and carry on climbing.
If you are not experienced you have two options, an induction or a taster session.
Induction
So maybe you have already had a taster session or done some climbing before and you want to take the plunge, then an Induction is the way for you.
Areas covered during the induction are safety, centre rules and basic indoor climbing skills. Once deemed competent by an instructor, adults will be permitted to use the centre unsupervised. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Inductions must be pre booked and require a minimum of two people. It is compulsory for all non-climbers to register and complete one to use the centre. The cost is £20.00 per adult and £15.00 per child (annual registration inclusive). Please note hire equipment is included in the price (shoes excluded). Shoes can be hired at an additional cost.
Taster Sessions
(Minimum age recommended is five)
A great way to experience the thrills of climbing with the knowledge that you are being looked after by an experienced instructor. Taster sessions require a minimum of two people and do need to be pre-booked. The group can be made up of any number of people regardless of age or ability.
The session costs £12.50 per person, lasts for one hour and is an introduction to indoor climbing for those with little or no previous climbing experience. The price includes equipment hire (shoes excluded) and instruction. Shoes can be hired at an additional cost.
